⭐No Veteran Left Behind Program⭐
The Mission: "Bridging the gap for veterans where geography is a barrier to recovery."
At Working Dogs For Vets, we believe a veteran’s zip code should never determine their access to life-saving support. Our No Veteran Left Behind (NVLB) program is a veteran-led initiative designed specifically for those who cannot reach a physical facility due to travel costs, mobility issues, or the isolation of rural living. By pairing our proven curriculum with a hybrid mentorship model—exemplified by the success of veteran graduates like Jeramie Frasure—we empower heroes to train their own service dogs within their home environments. We are currently evolving this 'in-person' success into a nationwide digital platform, utilizing Remote Hero Kits to provide real-time coaching to every hero, in every corner of the country.
⭐Featured Story⭐

When Marine Veteran Jeramie Frasure of Bibb County, Georgia, first began his journey with Working Dogs For Vets, he was looking for a path toward healing. Under the expert guidance of Trainer Kenneth Knabenshue, Jeramie was enrolled in the No Veteran Left Behind (NVLB) program, where he trained his Service Dog, Blue.
Jeramie made multiple trips to HQ, but rather than returning to a quiet life after graduating, he did something special: he worked within his own community to help other veterans in need master the elite training required for a medical-grade service animal. By 'paying it forward' through the NVLB initiative, Jeramie gained more than a partner in Blue; he restored his sense of command and purpose.
Today, Jeramie and Blue are a fixture in the Georgia veteran community. Supported by his wife Holly and their family, Jeramie has stepped into a leadership role as a Senior Peer Mentor. He now utilizes the skills he learned under Ken’s mentorship to lead a team of volunteers, ensuring that other veterans in Bibb County and beyond have the support they need to succeed. Jeramie and Blue are the living embodiment of our mission: Veterans Helping Veterans, Saving Lives At Both Ends Of The Leash.
